July - here we come!

So, by the end of this month I'll be full term....WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! This little guy is growing like crazy! I believe he's already dropped down lower (I could be wrong, but I heard this can happen 5+ weeks before delivery with your first child). Everybody keeps commenting on how much lower my belly looks and I do feel him a lot lower down (it's kinda crazy, I never thought I'd feel him move that low). I am 32 or 33 weeks this week...they are still having a hard time deciding how far along I am! I would like to go with 33 weeks, please :D.

What's new...hmm, still house hunting. The realtor went out of town for 7 days last week, then she got back in town and we couldn't get in touch with her. FINALLY last night she e-mailed me (after we called several times, she never returned our call) saying she will be out of town again for the next 14 days! We are going to have to find somebody else and I feel awful about that, we just can't afford to not look for a house for 18 days! We don't have time for that. *sigh* I know it'll all work out eventually. I just don't know what to do right now.

Well, that's pretty much all that's been going on. My life is boring, It feels like all I ever do anymore is work, look at houses, and sleep...sad!!

My monthly update

So, I guess I blog monthly now :). Just wanted to give a quick update. We are house hunting, found one we love and are just waiting to make a bid on it, get an inspection and all that jazz. I know if it's God's will it'll work out, if not we'll just keep looking! The pregnancy continues to be hard but I think I'm learning how to deal with it better. I'm still fainting but it's kinda funny now because I feel it coming on, don't fight it anymore go out and wake up. Chris has gotten used to it and doesn't panic or anything, he just tries to wake me up or stays near me. I'm not out long, and I feel pretty icky afterwards but he just helps me get up to walk around. We have learned if I stay sitting down after I've fainted once I will just keep blacking out off and on for a few minutes, if I get up and get my blood moving then it seems to help (I don't know HOW that works but whatever). My doctor wants me to live in compression socks, I've also learned that those don't do anything to prevent me from fainting and they aren't the most comfortable things in the world so I'm going against doctor's orders (I'm bad). I'm back on my morning sickness medicine and while I fought that at first I've come to realize there's no point in fighting it, the baby needs me to eat and it's silly to feel sick ALL the time if there is something that will help me feel better. I love feeling the baby move and am anxious for him to get here (hopefully early but not TOO early, I want him to stay in as long as he needs for his development).

This weekend I'm almost positive I sprained my wrist HAHA. Well, it's my own fault 'cause I was stupid! I know my sister moves furniture around towards the end of her pregnancy (although I thought it was once she was further along then I am), well I take after her! I decided our living room looked ugly and asked Chris to move the sofa's around for me. He said no, he liked it how it was and we're moving soon so there is no point. SO, being the obedient wife that I am, I waited until he was at work on Saturday and moved them :D. I love the living room (he still gets a little irritated every time he walks in the apartment though), but my wrist is killing me! He says he's sorry that it is hurt but hopes I learned my lesson...I DID! Next time I'll just bug him 'til he agrees to move it for me :D (just kidding)!

Long time no...post...

So, it's been over a month since I posted on here, I can't believe so much time has gone by. A lot of stuff has been happening, work is getting worse, I've been having complications, I got to visit my family, and Chris finally felt the little guy move!

I've started fainting, at first I could tell it was coming on and I had a few minutes notice. Now (as in yesterday) I literally had a few seconds notice. I was walking in the apartment when I called Chris, I guess he heard something in my voice because he came pretty quickly. I looked at him and said "I'm going to faint." and I guess down I went. Thankfully he caught me and just set me down on the floor. I don't think I was out for too long, I just get so frustrated with this! ARGH! Well, hopefully it'll get better, not worse :).

The baby is moving a lot more, I LOVE feeling him move. It has to be the best feeling in the world. As hard as this pregnancy has been, I will miss feeling him inside of me. Well, gotta run!

Hmmm

I haven't posted in a while and I can't think of much to say. My baby has been much more active in the past two days. He's moving right now, actually. It seems like he's having a hard time getting comfortable 'cause he's being a wiggle worm, but that's ok 'cause I get to feel him more then :D. I've noticed over the past few days (really staturday, yesterday and today) that I can feel him most in the morning after my shower (between 7:00 - 7:15) in the afternoon (between 12:00 - 2:00, it hasn't stayed the same for the past three days but it is during that time at some point) and then at night between 7:30 and 9:00. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo glad to start feeling him more consistantly because when I was just feeling the flutters at first I could go a day or two without feeling him at all and that stinks! I just love feeling him move so much :D. I can't wait until Chris gets to feel him move...Chris is sure he'll never feel him. We have one stubborn little boy on our hands, I don't know what we'll do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a very bad case of the grumps

I am cranky!!! I don't know why, but EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING is irritating me today! I don't know how I'm going to make it through the day without losing it! I'm praying so, so, so hard because it's only God that is keeping my tongue in check right now.

Have you read the book Alexander and The No Good, Very Bad, Terrible, Horrible Day? (I may have gotten those words out of order but you get the main point). Well, I feel like that today. The tax people (who took a MONTH to do our taxes) messed up our bank account information, and now they won't answer the phone. I threw up this morning, I woke up with a headache, my supervisor is nit picking everything and won't stop talking, I dropped a slice of my apple (which I was REALLY looking forward to!!!), the teller (who has been out for two days because of a SUNBURN to his head and neck) is coming back today and I'm already irritated that I'll have to deal with him. LOL I am a GRUMP today!!! I am very much like Alexander today, maybe I'll move to Australia! Mom says everybody has bad days, even in Australia (that's one of my favorite lines in the book :-P).

I'm feeling slightly better after writing this lol, I'm still very cranky though!

I am pout.

Hehe, that's what Chris and I say to each other, not "pouting," it's "pout." We got it from the Left Behind books we read together when we first started dating, it just struck us as funny and it has stuck ever sense. Anywho, I'm pout because my little "Wild Child" has not been wild. I have gone back to feeling the flutters which are great, but I want to feel the baby kick more. I felt a kick last night while I was laying down, it made me jump! Chris thought that was funny, but then he got discouraged when he put his hand on my belly and nope, no more. I think the baby justlikes being stubborn, Chris and I are so it wouldn't be a surprise at all! I just hope the baby isn't half as stubborn and he and I are!!!!!!!!

Well, not much more to update, I'm still feeling a little queasy at times, but much better then the morning sickness I was feeling.

I'm jealous 'cause Tina get's to find out what she's having today!!! Only 11 days left for me, yay!!!!

My wild child :D

Well, I must have one very active little baby growing inside me (which honestly scares me lol). I have felt flutters for a few days now. Yesterday and the day before I noticed the baby was more active, I felt the flutters more often and they lasted longer (YAY!). Well, last night after I got home I was laying in my comfy chair and I was reclined. I was about to get up to start preparing dinner when I felt the flutters again, they were slightly stronger than they have been. I love putting my hand on my belly when I feel the flutters...just 'cause I don't know why. It makes me feel closer to the baby. Well, to my complete surprise I felt a thump, like somebody flicked my hand from inside my stomach. I froze and thought "NO WAY!" and then I felt it again!!!! It's SO early to be feeling baby move, I'm thinking I must have gotten pregnant on the wedding night, which would put me at almost 19 weeks...it just makes more sense! Anyway, I only felt the two little kicks and then I got so excited I probably scared the baby into not moving anymore lol. Chris is jealous that the baby wouldn't kick for him again but I told him it's just so early that we can't expect to feel it kick often and that soon enough he'll get to feel the baby all the time. What an amazing feeling! I didn't know it could get better than the flutters but the kicks are! I LOVED the way it felt! What a surprise! YAY!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Well, this was an interesting morning! We were supposed to wear these horrible green shirts today but mine didn't fit and looked even worse then it should have! I ran to target before work because I refuse to look like a clown in public, and grabbed a green shirt that is long enough to at least cover the band on my maternity pants lol.

Then I get to work 10 minutes late, oh well...what can you do. Just to see that the woman who took over our St. Patty's Day celebration put a glass bowl on a single burner (a hot plate we have here), which then exploded glass all over our small kitchen. She tried to "Save" the corn beef but umm I'm not eating that because it was in the glass bowl that exploded, it just doesn't seem safe to me. I know she feels awful and I'm a horrible person for laughing but it was slightly funny :-X.

I guess we don't have the luck of the Irish down here in Sunny Florida :-P. I hope you all have a great day!

Sick people please just stay away!

I do not see the importance of going in to work when you are not on antibiotics and you have a fever, and are 90% sure you have strep throat. 1 - you are exposing EVERYBODY to your illness. 2 - I can't take medicine for a cold and you have a cold on top of strep and you won't stay out of my area. 3 - we are NOT busy enough to even have to worry about other people in the office being over worked (we have had one transaction all day). 4 - everybody here is telling you to go home. Not only because we are concerned with you but also because nobody wants you to get them sick. 5 - you are being VERY cranky and it's making everybody's lives miserable here. 6 - I am not eating any food that you bring in tomorrow because I don't want to get sick :D. I'm not sure how I'll get out of that one, I think I'll just say the smell makes my tummy hurt and go out when they eat lunch lol. I have become a germ-a-phob since becoming pregnant for many reasons. The most important being just about every time I get a cold (and am able to take a cold medicine) I get a sinus infection. Now that I'm not really able to take anything helpful for a cold, it's a guarentee that I will get an infection. Antibiotics make my tummy hurt, and I'm already on them every night for other reasons. I really don't want to be on more. So yes, I'm selfish!!!

WHY do people feel the need to spread their illness?! Oh it annoys me to no end. It's like those parents that send their child to daycare/school when the child has a fever. Just keep 'em home! UGH!

On a positive note Chris and I bought Pjs for both a boy and a girl (12 month). The boy Pjs say "Daddy's my hero" and they are cute. The girl ones were half price so we had to get them and they have a picture of a bee and say "I'm bee-utiful." We also got this really cute t-shirt that says "Daddy Bear," "Mama Bear" and "Baby Bear" and has three bears sitting there. Under the bears it says "Bear Family" It's really cute. We also looked at cribs and bedding. I can't wait to find out what we're having! Chris LOVES monkeys and we found some super cute monkey bedding for a boy and adorable girl bedding! We found a few cribs we both really like. LOL Chris says that I have the most expensive taste in the whole wide world...it's great :D.

mmmmm

So, I've had some weird cravings...really I've only had 2 cravings - Lemons and frozen raspberries.

When we were growing up my mom would stock up on frozen fruit. My sister and I LOVED putting frozen raspberries in a bowl and then sticking them in the microwave for a minute. The result is raspberry soup and it is so good! I really like sour things and the liquid you get from the raspberries is tart. I ate an entire bag of frozen raspberries yesterday! I'm just glad I'm craving healthy things :)

Because my sister suggested it

I was telling my sister the other day that there are just SO many things people don't tell you before you get pregnant, so I have decided to post some of them. I'm not going to post all of them, but I'll write some of them.

Morning Sickness - This one people tell you about, but they just don't tell you HOW bad it is. For me, I am just over 16 weeks and I threw up this morning...out of the blue. It's not fun. Imagine the flu every day for 8 weeks straight, that's what it felt like for me.

Emotions - WHAT?! Brought on by hormones, I can go from laughing to SOBBING, to being angry in a matter of minutes. Chris loves this one. I have currently sobbed over a spilled soda (I NEVER get upset about spilled drinks, I think it is a waste of time...clearly nobody spills their drink on purpose). Chris spilled his drink on the carpet and I broke down sobbing on the ground as I cleaned up the mess. Chris was STUNNED (because, like I said, I don't get upset about that!). He gave me a hug because he didn't know what else to do. I went on to sob that he is just trying to make my life hard...all because he spilled a drink!!!!!!!!!!!

Severe exhaustion - this one explains itself. I am currently staying up late...now I make it to 8:30 before I pass out cold! Before it was 7:00.

Bladder issues - Well, really you just have to go to the bathroom a LOT, I didn't think that happened until you were further along.

That brings me to the 2nd Trimester - Many times you will hear that the second trimester is the best. This does NOT mean that the second you hit 2nd tri you start feeling better. This does mean that halfway through 2nd tri you start feeling better :(.

Fluids - yeah...they come out.

RLP - Round Ligament Pain...HURTS! If you sneeze, stand up too quickly, cough, or move to fast you feel awful pain in your lower abdomen.

Once you start getting over the morning sickness starvation sets in. I'm SO hungry all the time!

I now sweat much more than I ever have in my life. This may be due to the fact that I am very hot - all the time. I used to be cold all the time!

LOL all that said, it's totally worth it :). Bring it on 2nd Trimester (oh but really, please, please be gentle on me!)!

I hope this made some of you smile :D

I have decided the doctor is mean.

And I don't like getting weighed in every time I go! Oh and they should really wait to weigh you until AFTER they take the urine sample because I'm sure I go at least a pound when I've been holding it :-X. I love hearing the baby's heartbeat, it makes me tear up every single time. This is the first time Chris has heard it since it started sounding like an actual heart with "thuds" instead of more of the "whooshing" sound. The heartbeat has been between 150 - 155 every appointment so we can't even use that to guess if it's a girl or a boy...I'm so impatient! I hate waiting. We get to find out what we're having on April 3rd, I can't wait!

meanwhile my supervisor is STILL annoying me about eating a lemon. I like lemons :(, there's nothing wrong with that...at least I'm eating fruit :).

FINALLY!

Yay, so I can finally write about being pregnant on here :). I'm very excited, nervous, sick, did I say excited?! I THINK (fingers crossed and all that superstitious stuff that doesn't work) my morning sickness is starting to let up just a little bit this week. I didn't have to take my medicine yesterday until about 2:00 but then I started feeling pretty stinky again. I took it this morning because of work but I'm feeling ok so far!!! Today I don't feel nauseous, I am just not interested in any food. Did you guys ever actually get SICK of eating? I am so, so, so, tired of having to eat every two hours, and still feeling sick that when I take a bite of food sometimes I am actually disgusted. Who woulda thought?!
